Artist's Comments

The Einstein monster is a huge mineral-base organism that floats, mostly submerged like an iceberg, in the methane oceans of gas giant planets. They remain solitary, separated by great distances of open oceans, but they can reproduce by combining incredibly powerful beams of radiation whose intereactions cause the transformation of energy into matter. The new matter is at first in the from the lightest of crystaline structures, which can remain suspended in the dense atmosphere of the giant planets. Eventually they become too heavy and descend to join their parents on the surface of the ocean below.

It reminds me of something that I can't quite remember - something to do with early science fiction illustrations with radio towers beaming stuff allover the place. Not sure if it's a specific picture or a generalisation.

Impressive details ! Great desaturated palette too.

wow this is great! is that a kind of kaleidoscopic glynn set?
:iconmuruku:
All I can tell you is that its made with UltraFractal, using an 'mt.barnlsleyish' formula with three diifferent colouring methods. Deeper matehmatical comprehension is beyond me.

Looks like a particularly interesting and gorgeous piece of fabric.
